SALUS TV launch: Designing for human and planetary health: The big ideas and practical solutions shaping a healthier world
By Andrew Sansom | 10 May 2021 | 0
This webinar is SALUS’ first ever live event delivered under the umbrella of our new SALUS TV online video and webinar channel, dedicated to designing for human and planetary health.
Abstract
Throughout human history, crises – revolutions, wars and depressions – have generated the big new ideas that have subsequently shaped societies. In the midst of a global public health crisis with the spectre of a climate emergency threatening the planet’s ecosystem, what are the big ideas, practical solutions and innovations that will shape human and planetary health in the years to come?
From schools and the workplace to the way we travel, and in our homes and neighbourhoods, can health creation be the new paradigm around which communities are built? How do we change our illness-centric healthcare systems to become anchors for a new ‘total health’ system fully embedded in our daily lives. What is the role of design, place and environment in promoting healthier and more sustainable living?
Our expert speakers explore how in this time of crisis, global society has a seminal opportunity to embrace new ideas and solutions in our cultural, social, economic and technical lives to redesign and reimagine our place in the natural world and support, promote and create health, hope and happiness for people and planet.
